WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Bailey Gilmore (Ivyland, Pa./Germantown Academy) had a second-half goal and assist to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over MAC Commonwealth foe Hood College on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The Warriors finished the season with a  10-8-2 record and a 3-5 mark in the MAC Commonwealth, falling a point shy of earning the fifth and final tournament slot, which Hood earned with an 11-7-2 record and a 3-4-1 MAC Commonwealth mark.

Lycoming's 10 wins are the most for the program since the 2004 team went a school-program best 12-5-1.

The Warriors got on the board in the 52
nd minute, as Gilmore started the play by threading the needle with a pass to sophomore
Jayden Leighow (Unityville, Pa./Hughesville Area), as she fired a pass to junior
Elle Sarracco (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional) across the box, who fired a shot high into the net. Four minutes later, Gilmore drove into the right corner, beat a defender and fired it into the left side of the net.

Hood closed within a goal with 25 minutes left, but the Warriors allowed just one shot the rest of the game to close out the win.

Both teams took 10 shots, with sophomore
Jess Riordan (Vineland, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy) making three saves and Lydia Erickson making one for Hood.
