EBENSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) clinched her 90
th career win with the Lycoming College women's tennis team in dramatic style, winning the last six points in a superset tiebreaker to lift the team to a 5-4 win over Mount Aloysius College in non-conference action at the Ebensburg Tennis Center on Friday night, Oct. 4.

Summerson, the first player in school history to reach 90 career wins after posting 46 singles wins and 44 doubles wins, came back from a 5-4 deficit in the tiebreaker with Chloe Love, winning six straight to lift the Warriors (2-3 overall) to the win over the Mounties (7-4 overall) after losing to the team, 8-1, in 2018.

Summerson won her first set, 6-4, before Love fought back for a close, 7-6 (5) win in the second set, setting up the final frame.

Sophomore
Wiliana Lundy (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) also won a superset tiebreaker, outlasting Maggie Willason at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 1-6, 10-5. Junior
Madi Heller (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area) added a 6-2, 6-3 win over Emily Abramowich at No. 3.

In doubles play, Summerson and Chambers posted their 10
th wins of the season with a 8-6 win over Love and Payton Whysong at No. 1 and junior
Abby Flemming (Ocean View, N.J./Ocean City) and freshman
Breana McNamara (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone Area) added an 8-5 win over Ayusma Bhattarai and Janelle Star at No. 3.

The Warriors will get back on the court on Sunday, Oct. 6, when they head to King's College for a 2 p.m. match.
