WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Elijah Shemory (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) became the sixth quarterback in the Lycoming College football team's history to post 400 yards of total offense to lead the team to a school-record of 640 yards of offense as it routed FDU-Florham, 42-21, in Middle Atlantic Conference action at David Person Field on Saturday, Oct. 26.
 
Shemory threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more, with all four passes coming from 28 yards or deeper. He finished the game 16-of-22 for 365 yards and he also added 12 rushes for 52 yards to finish with 417 yards of total offense, fourth-most in school history, as he became the first Warrior to post 400 yards of total offense since Chase Williams had 406 against King's in 2017.
 
Junior Tyjah During (Surrattsville, Md./Accokeek) became the first Warrior to post 200 all-purpose yards since Ryan Umpleby had 270 against Misericordia in 2015, as he posted four catches for 130 yards and a score and had 72 yards on returns. Senior Keith Batkowski (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) added 127 yards off 17 carries for 97 yards and two catches for 30 yards and a score.
 
Freshman Nick Breiner (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua) added nine carries for 64 yards, sophomore Chase Cramer (Andover, N.J./Newton) posted six carries for 32 yards, as the Warriors (2-5 overall, 1-4 MAC) rushed for 270 yards on 52 carries. The team passed for 370 yards, with senior Steve Toczylousky (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) making one catch, an 83-yard score, and senior Dezmen Johnson (Browns Mills, N.J./Pemberton Township) making four grabs for 58 yards and a score.
 
Freshman Austin Rowley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Warrior defense with six tackles and freshman David Tomb (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) added four stops, two for loss, a sack and a blocked punt. Both senior Korahn Williams (Reading, Pa./Reading) and junior Gianni Bryant-Lopez (Delran, N.J./Delran) each had interceptions.
 
After forcing FDU-Florham (2-6 overall, 1-5 MAC) to punt on its first possession, the Warriors got the ball at midfield and scored six plays later, when Shemory plowed in on a draw from six yards out. Tomb blocked an ensuing FDU-Florham punt, with junior Niko Arhontakis (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) leaping on the ball at the FDU 27. After a roughing the passer call negated an interception, the Warriors drove into the end zone four plays later, with Shemory diving in from seven yards out to make it 14-0.
 
In the second quarter, the Warriors scored on the third play of a drive that started on the nine-yard line, as Shemory found During on a short pass in the flat, with During getting a block and busting 79 yards down the sideline for a touchdown, giving Lycoming a 21-0 lead at the break.
 
The offense struck again in the third quarter, as Shemory found Toczylousky over the middle, as the senior bounced off a tackle and took off for an 83-yard touchdown. FDU answered with a 60-yard scoring rush from Galante, but the Warriors got another score before the end of the quarter, as Shemory completed a five-play, 89-yard drive with a 35-yard missile to the back corner of the endzone for Johnson.
 
Lycoming started the fourth quarter by scoring again, with Shemory delivering a strike over the middle to Batkowski, who dove from the five-yard line to make the catch in the end zone. FDU scored twice in the quarter, on drives of 75 and 79 yards, jumping from 120 yards of total offense entering the quarter to 269 at the end of the game, but Lycoming kept the ball on the ground for much of the final 15 minutes, finishing the game in the midst of a seven-play, 44-yard drive at the five-yard line.
 
Anthony Caserta finished 8-of-15 for 99 yards and Tommy Galante went 14-of-23 for 170 yards and a touchdown for the Devils. Galante also rushed four times for 59 yards and a score. JeVaughn Thomas had seven catches for 78 yards and a score.
 
Terance Saysay had seven tackles and a forced fumble for the Devils and Eli Guzman also had seven stops and half-a sack.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Nov. 2, when they host Misericordia in another MAC Commonwealth game at 1 p.m.
