Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic). Given a second chance, Singleton floated down a perfectly placed kill and the Lycoming College volleyball team held on for a 27-25 win en route to a 3-0 (27-25, 25-19, 25-22) sweep of Alvernia University in the MAC Commonwealth opener on Wednesday night, Sept. 5, at Lamade Gym.

Hepner finished with 15 digs and five assists to keep the Warriors undefeated at 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the MAC Commonwealth, as she led a defensive unit that allowed Alvernia (1-4 overall, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) to hit .076 (27-20-92) in the match. Freshman
Alia Post (Sayre, Pa./Sayre Area) added six digs and five aces.

Sophomore
Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) led the Warrior offense, pounding out 12 kills and hitting .522 while also scooping up seven digs. Singleton posted eight kills, two digs and two blocks and junior
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added six kills, hitting .455, to go with two blocks.

The Warriors fought back from a 22-19 deficit in the first set, with Titus starting the rally with a kill and tying the set at 23 with another before Post notched a service ace to give Lycoming a 24-23 lead. After a pair of sideouts, Hepner's save off the block gave momentum back to the Warriors, who closed the set with kills from Titus.

In the second set, the Warriors used a 13-7 run late in the set to take control and win 25-19, as the team hit .257 in the set while holding Alvernia to .028. In the third set, Alvernia came back from an 11-4 deficit to tie it at 15, but Lycoming separated after it was tied at 19 from a kill by Titus, scoring four straight points to wrap up the 25-22 win.

Olivia Frutiger led the Golden Wolves with 11 kills, five aces and eight digs and Paige Stern posted eight kills, six digs and three aces. Alexis Schwenk finished with 18 assists and eight digs.

The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Sept. 7, when they open the Lycoming Invitational by facing SUNY Cortland at 4 p.m. and Gettysburg at 8 p.m.
