SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomores
Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport),
Julia Nagle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) and
Devinity Apollon (Washington, D.C./School Without Walls) combined for five wins as the Lycoming College women's tennis team defeated Arcadia University, 6-3, in its MAC Commonwealth opener on Saturday afternoon, April 7, at the West Branch Tennis Club.

Apollon and Summerson made quick work at No. 1 doubles, opening with an 8-2 win. Nagle and senior
Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) weren't far behind with an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

Apollon then topped Amanda Shulski at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Summerson already earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles before Nagle notched a 6-2, 7-6 win at No. 4 singles. Junior
Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) earned the other win for the Warriors, posting a 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 6 singles.

The Warriors improved to 7-4 overall, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth and Arcadia fell to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.

The Warriors return to the courts on Wednesday, April 11, when they head to Albright College for a 3:30 p.m. MAC Commonwealth match.
