Warriors fall in overtime to Kean

MADISON, N.J. – Senior Jordan Lazarich (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) moved within a goal of the MAC Commonwealth lead in scoring, but a pair of late goals, one in overtime, helped Kean University, sneak away with a 2-1 win on the second day of the Drew Fall Festival on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 10.

The Warriors' lone shot on goal was the scoring strike from Lazarich, as she notched her 51st career goal in the 65th minute to give Lycoming the 1-0 advantage. It was Lazarich's fourth goal in the last three games.

Kean responded in the 72nd minute when Kendall Machak scored off an assist from Mallory Noordeloos. The game-winner was scored by Adrianna Mouzakis on an assist from Emily Jurcsek at 91:43.

Senior goalie Joelle Winey (Mifflntown, Pa./Juniata) made eight saves for the Warriors. Kean's Casey McDonnell earned the win, as she watched five Warrior shots.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 13, when they head across town to take on Penn College in the Battle of the Lumber at 7 p.m.
