CARLISLE, Pa. – Sophomore
Alec Sabatino (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) led the Lycoming College men's golf team in its spring opener, posting a round of 87, at the par-70, 6,412-yard Mayapple Golf Links on Monday afternoon, March 27.

Sabatino finished 16
th for the Warriors, helping pace the team during a round of 387 to open its first of five spring rounds. Sabatino has led the team in three of four rounds this year, averaging 86.0 strokes per round.

The Warriors finished fifth in a field of five teams. Dickinson won the tournament with a round of 310 and Bobby McFadden of Dickinson won a tiebreaker to claim medalist honors.

Senior
Conor Chopey (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and
Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) tied for second on the team with rounds of 98 and senior
Cale Rice (Danville, Pa./Danville) round out the team's scoring four with a 104.

The Warriors get back in action on Friday, March 31, when they host Susquehanna and Penn College in a tri-match at Williamsport Country Club. Tee-off is set for 1 p.m.
