BEREA, Ohio – Junior 149-pounder Seth Lansberry (Klingerstown, Pa./Line Mountain) improved to 29-2 on the season, as he took his third individual title of the season to lead the Lycoming College wrestling team on Saturday, Feb. 6, at the John Summa Invitational on the campus of Baldwin Wallace University, helping the team to a sixth-place finish in the 11-team field.
 
Freshman Joe Santomarco (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) finished second at 141 pounds, sophomore Brandon Conrad (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) took fourth at 174 and freshman Andy Aguilar (Muncy, Pa./Muncy Area) took sixth at 133 to go along with Lansberry's title.
 
Lansberry, ranked fifth in the nation by d3wrestle.com and sixth by the NWCA, dominated en route to his third title of the season, posting two pins and a major decision before defeating Thiel's Nick Sutton, 9-3, in the championship match. He opened the tournament with a pin of Washington & Jefferson's Joshua Armstrong in 4:11 before posting a 13-1 major decision over Wabash's Savonne Bennette. In the semifinals, he pinned Brockport's Wyat DeMarre in 4:55.
 
He also won individual titles at the Ohio Northern University Invitational and the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championships.
 
Santomarco placed in his second tournament of the year after taking third at the ECWC Championships, as he took second. He opened the tournament with a third-round pin of Alfred State's Austin Parker in 6:46 before he scored a 15-3 major decision win over Baldwin-Wallace's Jake Landers in the quarterfinals. He was awarded a medical forfeit in the semifinals and he bowed out of the finals bout to rest up after missing much of the past three weeks due to a nagging injury. Still, Santomarco was able to improve to 16-12 on the season.
 
Conrad continued to lead the team in wins, as he improved to 30-10 on the season with three wins by decision en route to a fourth-place finish. He opened the tournament with a  6-0 win over Wabash's Mark Maldonado and added an 8-3 win over Waynesburg's Mike Millero in the quarterfinals. After a narrow 6-3 loss in the semifinals to seventh-ranked Garrett Chase of Baldwin-Wallace, he posted a 2-0 win over Alfred State's George Vanvalen. To finish the tournament, he dropped a sudden-victory heartbreaker to Jimmy Sandlin of Baldwin-Wallace, 9-7.
 
Aguilar, who like Santomarco has battled nagging injuries during his freshman campaign, was still able to improve to 9-3 on the year as he placed sixth at 133 pounds. He opened the tournament with an 8-0 major decision against Wabash's Allen Betts and repeated that score in the quarterfinals against Michael Duncan of Thiel before dropping a 2-1 match in the semifinals to Waynesburg's Gordon Bieber. He withdrew from the tournament after the loss.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Sunday, Feb. 14, when the head to the Wesleyan Duals, where they will face Wesleyan, Oswego and Norwich. Wrestling is set to begin at 12 p.m.
