LANCASTER, Pa. – Three Lycoming College players finished with double-figure kills and senior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) posted a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs, but the Lycoming College volleyball team fell victim to a late comeback from Lancaster Bible College, falling 3-2 (25-22, 24-26, 23-25, 30-28, 15-12, at the Horst Athletic Center.

Sophomore
Cheyenne Altland (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) and senior
Kristine Jahn (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) each added 10 kills for the Warriors (11-9 overall), with Altland also posting four blocks and Jahn posting two.

Freshman
Alyssa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added nine kills and Fink added five aces to go with her double-double, as she became the fifth player in school history to reach 200 career aces. Freshman
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) posted four kills, three aces and two blocks. Freshman
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) finished with 19 assists and eight digs and junior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) added 19 assists and nine digs. Sophomore
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) posted 18 digs and three aces.

Alyssa Bowen finished with 15 kills and eight blocks and Hannah Gipe finished with 14 kills, nine digs and six blocks. Ashtyn Bouslog added 11 kills and 13 digs and Myranda Kemrer finished with 22 digs. Allison Shuey finished with 49 assists and seven digs.

The Warriors tied the first set at 22 after falling behind 18-14, but the Chargers posted three straight kills to win the set. In the second set, the Warriors made another comeback from a 12-7 deficit to tie the set at 24 before Fink notched back-to-back aces to win the set. Lycoming charged back in the third set to tie it at 21 after being behind 12-7 and thanks to a pair of kills and a block from Altland, Lycoming posted a 25-23 win.

In the fourth set, the Chargers took a 17-11 lead before the Warriors tied it at 18 and eventually had a match point at 24-23 and two more times, but Lancaster Bible fought back each time and scored three straight points to post a 30-28 win. In the fifth set, Lancaster Bible used a 5-1 run in the middle of the set to post a 15-12 win.

The Warriors get back on the court with an important MAC Commonwealth match at Albright on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
