GLENSIDE, Pa. – Junior
Kristine Jahn (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and senior
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) combined to post 19 kills to help lead the Lycoming College volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-13) sweep of MAC Commonwealth opponent Arcadia on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Alumni Gymnasium.

Jahn finished with 10 kills and hit .444, as the team's topthree hitters each hit over .300. Richardson finished with nine kills, hitting .333, three blocks and an ace and junior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) added seven kills, hitting .353, four aces and seven digs.

In the first set, the Warriors (6-3 overall, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) fought through three ties before taking a 13-9 lead that expanded to 16-12. However, the Knights (3-2 overall, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) fought back to tie the set at 16 and then took an 18-17 lead, but sophomore
Tayler Whitman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) answered with a kill to tie the set. The Warriors didn't trail again, with Richardson posting three kills out of the team's last four points to post a 25-23 win.

Lycoming fell behind 12-9 in the second half, but took control with a 11-3 run paced by three kills from Jahn to take a 20-15 lead. The Knights rallied to come within three points at 22-19, but Lycoming was able to close out a 25-20 win with Jahn ending the set with two kills.

The Warriors jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the third set and never looked back, expanding the lead to 21-9 before closing out a 25-13 win to sweep Arcadia for the fourth time in the last six years.

Sophomore
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) finished with 30 assists, four digs and three blocks. Freshman
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added nine digs and freshman
Kyra Beltrandi (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added seven.

The Warriors had an outstanding 66 sideout percentage in the match and hit .232, including an outstanding .370 in the second set.

Elizabeth Joseph led the Knights with nine kills and Makenna Micklus posted six kills and six digs. Brionna Cox finished with five blocks and Alexia Bell posted 21 assists.

The Warriors get back on the court on Thursday, Sept. 17, when they host Mount Aloysius in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. at Lamade Gym.
