SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Junior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) led the Lycoming College volleyball team with seven kills and 10 digs, but a hot-hitting Susquehanna University was able to post a 3-0 non-conference win (25-18, 25-15, 25-19) at O.W. Houts Gymnasium on Tuesday evening, Sept. 1.

The Warriors (0-1 overall) also got 22 assists and five digs from sophomore
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), six kills and five digs from junior
Maggie Slawson (Armagh, Pa./United) and five kills and a block from freshman
Cheyenne Altland (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic). Freshman
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) posted 15 digs.

Senior
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) inched closer to 1,000 kills, as she finished with five after hitting .417, to leave her just six shy of the mark heading into a tri-match on Saturday. She also led the team with two blocks.

Morgan Whiteman led the Crusaders (1-0 overall) with 20 kills, hitting .515, to go with 10 digs and two blocks. Maggie O'Hearn notched 30 assists and Sarah Paluck posted 16 digs.

The Warriors get back on the court with a tri-match at Summit University (formerly Baptist Bible) on Saturday, Sept. 5, taking on Summit at 9 a.m., Penn College at 10:30 a.m. and Wilkes at 1:30 p.m.
