LEBANON, Pa. – Junior
Zach Layser (Myerstown, Pa./ELCO) led the Lycoming College golf team with an 86 on Monday, April 6, at the season-opening Dutchmen Spring Invitational at the par-72, 6,272-yard Lebanon Country Club, helping the team to a 13
th-place finish.

Layser finished in 41
st-place in the 74-golfer event, as he notched five pars and birdied the par-5, 491-yard 10
th hole. Seniors
Nic McGee (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and
John Koch (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain) finished second and third for the team, posting a 90 and 97, respectively. McGee had a birdie on the 288-yard par-4 first hole.

In her debut for the Warriors, freshman
Hailey Fricke (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) shot a 100 on the 6,272-yard course. The first women's golfer in program history, Fricke posted four pars on the course, including two on par 3s. Senior
Will Dietz (Mansfield, Pa./Mansfield Area) rounded out the team's five golfers, notching a 101.

The Warriors get back into action on Thursday, April 16, when they head to the Blue Jay Classic, with tee-off set for 12 p.m. at the Hershey Country Club East Course.
