OSWEGO, N.Y. – Six Lycoming College wrestlers had two-win days to lead the team to a dominating sweep at the Pa./N.Y. Duals, as Lycoming downed Oswego State, 29-7, and RIT, 38-6, in the dual meet event at the Laker Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 3.
 
Freshman Kyle Drick (Allenwood, Pa./Montgomery Area) (125), senior Cody Barbiche (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) (133), senior Caleb Willey (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) (141), sophomore Seth Lansberry (Klingerstown, Pa./Line Mountain) (149), senior Johnathan Secor (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) (197) and senior Sam Batchelor (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) (285) each won two matches as Lycoming improved to 7-2 overall. The Warriors swept the Pa./N.Y. Duals for the third straight season and the eighth time in the last nine years.
 
Against Oswego State (0-2 overall), the Warriors built a 14-0 lead by winning the first four bouts, with Willey and Lansberry each posting major decisions. After Oswego notched a decision at 157 pounds, the Warriors won the next two matches by decision. Oswego cut the lead to 20-7 with a win at 184 pounds, but Secor posted a decision at 197 and a forfeit at heavyweight helped Lycoming make up the final 22-point margin.
 
Lansberry reached the 50-win milestone in the meet, posting a 8-0 decision over Oswego's Mark Milisci, as he improved to 51-14 overall in his career.
 
Against RIT (2-3 overall), the Warriors won the first five bouts, building a 26-0 lead thanks to two forfeits, a decision from Secor, a technical fall from Lansberry and a fall from junior Matt Neff (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) at 157 pounds. The Warriors dropped the next two bouts, but senior Nikolas Christine (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) added a pin before two decisions helped round out the 38-6 win.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Friday, Jan. 9, when they begin their quest at the two-day, 16-team Budd Whitehill National Duals in Lamade Gym. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
