Box Score

LaPLUME, Pa. – Sophomore Moises Lazo (Bowie, Md./Bowie) notched a goal and an assist to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a dominating 2-0 non-conference win over Keystone College on a humid Sunday afternoon, Aug. 31, at the Keystone Turf Field.

The Warriors (2-0 overall) have started a season with two wins for the first time since 2011. They have started a season with two shutouts for the first time since 2004 and just the third time in school history (1962, 2004, 2014).

Lycoming finished with a dominating 17-4 lead in shots, as senior goalkeeper Connor Keenan (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) was forced to make just one save to earn his 12th career shutout.

The Warriors got on the board in the 27th minute, as Lazo found senior Kevin Seymour (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) in the box and Seymour fired a shot off the low crossbar and into the net.

Despite taking eight shots in the second half, the Warriors could not get an insurance goal until there were seven seconds remaining, when freshman Jordan Logan (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) found Lazo in front of the pack and Lazo finished the breakaway by firing a shot in the near post corner.

Anthony Cutillo finished with six saves in net for the Giants (1-1 overall). Eddy Enowbi led the squad with two of the team's four shots.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 3, when they head to Susquehanna University for the annual Battle of the Boot. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
