WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A come-from-behind win in the 1,000-yard freestyle and a win in the 500-yard freestyle by senior Jack Port (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) highlighted the Lycoming College swim team's sweep of Elizabethtown on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Lamade Gym Natatorium, with the men posting a 128-67 win and the women notching a 114-91 win.
                                           
Port, who had fallen behind after 700 yards, made his comeback from there, overtaking  second-place finisher Frank Capria in the third-to-last lap and then cruising to a 10-second win in 10:57.52. He also posted a win in the 500-yard event, posting a time of 5:20.40.
 
Sophomore Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) also posted two wins for the Warriors (1-2 overall, 1-2 MAC), notching a time of 2:09.37 in the 200-yard individual medley and 55.79 in the 100-yard butterfly. Junior Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) also won twice, posting them in the 50-yard freestyle (22.32) and the 100-yard backstroke (58.02).
 
In the relays, the Warriors also swept, with the 200-yard medley team of Woods, sophomore Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), Thomas and sophomore Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) notched a time of 1:42.11 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Zack Brower (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), senior Luke Dohrman (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown), senior Jake Pelinsky (Southwick, Mass./Westfield) and Apostolu posted a time of 1:34.16.
 
On the women's side, a pair of relay wins helped lead the Warriors (1-2 overall, 1-2 MAC) to the 114-91 win, with junior BethAnnSchwoyer (Williamsport, Pa./Homeschooled), freshman Morgan Black (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone), junior Lexi Follweiler (Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley) and junior Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield) notched a time of 1:59.10 in the 200-yard medley relay and the team of Follweiler, sophomore Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), Schwoyer and Black notched a time of 1:47.31 to win the 200-yard freestyle relay.
 
Sloyer also posted an individual win in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.31), freshman Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) won the 200-yard individual medley (2:24.81), Follweiler notched a time of 1:03.70 to win the 100-yard butterfly, and Schwoyer posted a time of 1:03.72 to win the 100-yard backstroke.
 
Elizabethtown's men fell to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the MAC and the women fell to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in the MAC.
 
The Warriors get back in the pool on Sunday, Nov. 17, when they head to Misericordia for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
