Warriors fall to Blue Jays

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's soccer team fell to regionally-ranked Elizabethtown College, 8-0, on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29, in Commonwealth Conference action at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
 
Senior goalkeeper Caitlin Dougherty (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) finished with 10 saves, her fifth double-digit save effort of the year, helping her move into eighth in the school's single-season record book with 132 saves. The Warriors (1-16 overall, 0-8 Commonwealth) took six shots in the game, led by two from sophomore Megan Hubbard (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional).
 
Kacey Cerankowski, Deanna Slater and Lauren Fredericks each posted two goals for the Blue Jays (11-6 overall, 6-2 Commonwealth). Kendra Mancino notched three assists and Trisha Clark added a goal and assist.
 
In net for Elizabethtown, Dana Robidoux made one save in the first half and Caitlin Matus notched one in the second period.
 
The Warriors wrap up the 2013 season on Saturday, Nov. 2, when they host Hood in a Commonwealth Conference game at the Shangraw Athletic Complex at 11:30 a.m. Before the game, the Warriors will honor the team's five seniors: Dougherty, Olivia Hanner (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville), Spencer Larson (Edgewater, Md./South River), Julia Norton (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) and Stephanie Watters (Oxford, N.J./Warren Hills Regional).
