Warriors fall to Blue Jays

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Senior James Quinn (Tonawanda, N.Y./Kenmore East) made 10 saves, but the Lycoming College men’s soccer team fell on the road to Elizabethtown, 3-0, in Commonwealth Conference action on Wednesday night, Oct. 24, at Ira R. Herr Field.
 
Quinn faced 27 shots from the Blue Jays (8-6-3 overall, 6-1-1 Commonwealth), who got on the scoreboard with a penalty kick goal from Kyle Fowler in the 44th minute. Adriano Maneo and Ross Withrow each scored in the second half for Elizabethtown.
 
The Warriors (4-9-2 overall, 1-6-1 Commonwealth) were led offensively by sophomores Nate Smith (Ulster, Pa./Troy) and Adam Kuntz (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East), who each took two shots, while Eric Carr was forced to stop two shots to earn the shutout.
 
The Warriors wrap up the 2012 campaign on Saturday, Oct. 27, when they head to Hood for an 1:30 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match.
