DALLAS, Pa. – Freshman
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) had another fine performance with nine kills, four digs and two aces, but the Lycoming College volleyball team fell to Misericordia, 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-20) at the Anderson Center in non-conference action on Thursday night, Oct. 18.
Misericordia (15-12 overall) was led by 15 kills from Cailin McCullion, as she surpassed 1,000 career kills during the match.
Senior
Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahanoy Area) and junior
Shelby Gear (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) each added six kills for the Warriors (19-7 overall). Junior
Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) posted 29 assists, seven digs and three aces. Sophomore
Kristin Whitehead (Avon, Ohio/Avon) added eight digs and junior
Chelsee Strine (South Boardman, Mich./Forest Area) added four kills and five digs.
Shelby Brochetti notched 10 kills and seven digs, Nicole Korgeski added 25 assists and Kellyn Swanson posted 14 digs for Misericordia. Kat LaBrie posted four kills and four blocks.
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 20, when they host Marymount (Va.) and Moravian in a tri-match at Lamade Gym. They will face Moravian at 11 a.m. and Marymount at 3 p.m. Moravian and Marymount will play at 1 p.m.
