WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Nine different Lycoming College swimmers won two individual events, as the Warriors swept Lebanon Valley College in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Lamade Gym Natatorium, with the men posting a 139-56 win and the women notching a 147-110 victory.
On the men’s side, the Warriors (3-3 overall, 3-2 MAC) won all 14 events en route to the lopsided victory. Lebanon Valley fell to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the MAC.
Senior
Myles Biggs (Easton, Pa./Easton) notched wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11.17.36) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:45.02) and classmate
Joe Andrie (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) posted a 1:03.84 to win the 100-yard breaststroke and a 2:25.08 to take the 200-yard event.
Sophomore
Zack Brower (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) added wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.26) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.13), where he notched a season-best. Classmate
Jack Port (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) added wins in the 200-yard butterfly (2:26.20) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:17.56). Freshman
T.J. Guminski (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) took the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.21) and the 50-yard freestyle (23.89).
Freshman
Daniel Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) posted a time of 57.62 to win the 100-yard butterfly and sophomore
Peter Fields (Burke, Va./Robinson) notched a time of 4:42.96 to take the 400-yard individual medley.
Guminski, Andrie, Woods and Brower notched a time of 1:59.78 to win the 200-yard medley relay and Guminski, sophomore
C.J. Arhontakis (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove), sophomore
Luke Dohrman (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) and Brower added a time of 1:33.31 to win the 200-yard freestyle.
On the women’s side, the Warriors were led by four swimmers that won a pair of events to post the 147-110 win over the Dutchmen and improve to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the MAC. Lebanon Valley falls to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the MAC.
Sophomore
Jennie Marosits (Mt. Lakes, N.J./Mt. Lakes) posted wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:52.32) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:45.22). Freshman
Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield) added wins in the 200-yard freestyle (a season-best 1:56.27) and the 50-yard freestyle (26.84). Freshman
BethAnn Schwoyer (Williamsport, Pa./Home-schooled) won the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.73) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:19.77). Freshman
Danielle Loiseau (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) notched wins in the 100-yard freestyle (a career-best 57.37) and the 400-yard individual medley (a season-best 5:02.82.
Schwoyer, freshman
Lexi Follweiler (Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley), Loiseau and Clark won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:59.78 and junior
Elisa Becker (Reston, Va./South Lakes), junior
Lindsey Hunsicker (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), Follweiler and Clark won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:47.72.
Lycoming’s four seniors – Biggs, Andrie,
Derek Lupia (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) and
Alexa LaRocco (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) – were honored at the meet, as it was the final one at the Lamade Gym Natatorium in their careers.
The Warriors head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Wednesday, Jan. 18, for a double-dual meet with King’s (Pa.) and FDU-Florham at the Catholic Youth Center. The meet is set to start at 6 p.m.
