FROSTBURG, Md. – A pair of goals from Frostburg State’s Ryan Russell helped down the Lycoming College men’s soccer team, 2-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Freshman Connor Keenan (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) made three saves in net for the Warriors (5-4-1 overall), as Frostburg State took 11 shots in the contest.
Abiye Jack earned the shutout for the Bobcats (6-1-1 overall), making two stops on eight Lycoming shots.
Russell scored in the 11th minute on a give from Francisco Diaz and added his second tally in the 82nd minute to seal the win.
The Warriors were led by three shots each from juniors Mike Krebs (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and Matt Snively (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown).
The Warriors reach the crescendo of its five-game road trip on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they head to Alvernia for the Commonwealth Conference opener at 3:30 p.m.
