LANCASTER, Pa. –
Despite firing 17 shots, the second most this season, the Lycoming College women’s soccer team fell at Lancaster Bible College, 3-0, on Monday afternoon, Sept. 26.

The Chargers (7-1 overall) notched three goals, all in the first half, as Ally Brown led the team with two assists. Evelyn Stauffer added an unassisted goal.

The Warriors (1-7 overall) were led by junior Leslie Kester (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township), who took six shots in the match.

Sophomore Caitlin Dougherty (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) made two saves in the first half before junior Jennifer Basch (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) shut out the Chargers in the second half, stopping seven shots.

Emily Lloyd stopped 10 shots to earn the shutout for the Chargers.

The Warriors head back to the Shangraw Athletic Complex for its final non-conference tilt in preparation for the Commonwealth Conference slate, facing King’s (Pa.) on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
