Regionally-ranked Yellowjackets down Warriors, 1-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
Max Eberhardt headed in a corner kick in the 71st minute to help lift the regionally-ranked University of Rochester to a win over the Lycoming College men’s soccer team on Saturday night, Sept. 24, at Fauver Stadium.

Freshman keeper Connor Keenan (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) kept the Warriors (5-3-1 overall) in the game, posting seven saves in his first career start while playing in place of the injured James Quinn (Buffalo, N.Y./Kenmore East). The Yellowjackets (5-2 overall) took 18 shots in the contest, finally getting the goal when Max Fan lifted a corner into the goalbox where Eberhardt headed it in.

Scott Garfing earned the shutout for Rochester.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Frostburg State for a 6 p.m. match.
