HERSHEY, Pa. – Junior Robert Jumper (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) wrapped up the first day of the Commonwealth Conference Golf Championship in a tie for 15th place to lead the Lycoming golf team at the par-71, 6,600-yard Hershey Country Club East Course on Saturday, April 30. The Warriors are seventh in the eight-team field after a first-round 370 while Elizabethtown and Messiah are tied for the lead after a first-round 329.

Senior Jed Simpson (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) is 28th after shooting a 92 in the first round and freshman Zach Czap (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Oscelola) is right behind him after shooting a first-round 93. Senior Josh Chmelik (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) is tied for 35th after shooting a 99 and sophomore Drew Tompkins (Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery) is 37th after a first-round 101.
The Warriors wrap up the tournament with the second round on Sunday, April 30, at 8 a.m. at the Hershey Country Club East Course.
