CARLISLE, Pa. – Senior Meagan Pittius (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) led the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team with two goals and senior Libby Stoesz (Akron, Pa./Conestoga Valley) posted 12 saves, but Dickinson College posted a 17-3 win in non-conference action in the season opener on Thursday, Feb. 24.

The Warriors (0-1 overall) scored twice in the second half while limiting the Devils (1-0 overall) to three goals. Freshman Ashley Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) found the back of the net  five minutes into the period before the Devils scored three times to take a 17-2 lead. Pittius capped the game with her second goal with 1:50 left.

In the first half, the Devils took an 11-0 lead before Pittius scored the first goal of the season for the Warriors.

Junior Grace Gargiulo (Branchburg, Pa./Immaculata) posted three draw controls and two groundballs and freshman Amber Graybill (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) led the team with three groundballs.

Sunnie Ko led the Devils with three goals and two assists and Kara Glazer added a goal and four assists. Taryn Abbassian and Kelsey Muir each added two goals abd Carson Anderson posted three groundballs. Jessie Clark made three saves for the Devils.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, March 9, when they face Allegheny in non-conference action.
