Dutchmen down Warriors in season finale

PALMYRA, Pa.
– Nicole Snyder and Taylor Saraiva each scored twice to lead Lebanon Valley College to an 8-0 win over the Lycoming College women’s soccer team on Sunday in Commonwealth Conference action at In The Net’s indoor complex, as the Warriors played their first game inside in school history. Junior Jennifer Basch (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) led the Warriors with nine saves in net.
 
Allison Korns assisted on the first two Flying Dutchmen goals as the team wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs. Katie Deardorff also added two assists for the Dutchmen (12-4-3 overall, 5-1-1 Commonwealth).
 
Basch played 58 minutes before yielding to sophomore Caitlin Dougherty (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone), who made five stops in the last 34 minutes for the Warriors (2-14 overall, 0-7 Commonwealth). The Warrior offense was led by two shots from senior Jussae Hanford (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville).
 
The game was the season finale for the Warriors and the last in the careers of Jussae Hanford (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville), Jenna Moyer (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg), Kelly Prendergast (Edison, N.J./Rutgers Prep), Ashley Sitler (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and Allison Tripoli (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township). Hanford and Prendergast played in all 68 games since they stepped on campus, both tying for the second-most in school history.
