Albright bests Lycoming, 2-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –
Albright College scored two first-half goals to lift itself to a 2-0 Commonwealth Conference win against Lycoming College women’s soccer team on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
 
Erin Hand got the Lions (7-3-4 overall, 2-2-2 Commonwealth) on the board in the 14th minute and Katie Cooper added a second goal in the 34th minute.
 
The Warriors (2-13 overall, 0-6 Commonwealth) took two shots in the match and freshman Sam Stropko (Sayre, Pa./Athens) stopped seven shots in net. Olivia Giuliano made two saves for the Lions.
 
Before the match, the Warriors honored the team’s five seniors, Jussae Hanford (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville), Jenna Moyer (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg), Kelly Prendergast (Edison, N.J./Rutgers Prep), Ashley Sitler (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and Allison Tripoli (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) with a short pre-game ceremony.
 
The Warriors wrap up their season on Saturday, Oct. 29 when they head to Lebanon Valley for a 12 p.m. match.
