EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Senior Isaiah Britton (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) won his 20th match of the season to lead the Lycoming College wrestling team, but the squad fell to Division II East Stroudsburg, 28-13, on Monday night, Jan. 31, in non-conference action at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Britton, who improved to 44-11 in his career, posted his 20th win for the second straight year as he notched a 14-5 major decision over Luke Grassi.
East Stroudsburg (7-9 overall) won the first five matches of the night to take a 19-0 lead before Lycoming (10-10 overall) won three of the final five matches to wrap up the night. Junior Stephen Hinton (Montclair, Va./Forest Park) picked up a win by forfeit at 125 pounds before Britton won his match at 149 pounds two matches later.
Senior Eric Grecco (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) wrapped up the night with a 7-2 decision at 157 pounds over Jesse Dunn for his second straight win.
The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Feb. 5 when they host No. 27 SUNY Cortland at the Recreation Center at 4 p.m.
