WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lebanon Valley scored a goal in each half despite being outshot by the Lycoming College men’s soccer team, 15-12, to take a 2-0 decision in Commonwealth Conference action at the Shangraw Complex on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 20.
Lebanon Valley (8-5-1 overall, 2-1-1 Commonwealth) got on the board by scoring in the 25th minute, as Chris Hall put a one-timer in the left corner. The Dutchmen added an insurance goal as Andrew Cooper chipped in a rebound in the 52nd minute.
The Warriors (6-9-1 overall, 0-4-1 Commonwealth) had plenty of quality chances while firing 15 shots, including four off the foot of sophomore Matt Snively (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown), but Dutchmen keeper James Clements was stout in goal, making six saves to preserve the shutout.
Sophomore James Quinn (Tonawanda, N.Y./Kenmore East) made two saves during the first half before yielding to freshman Nial Krach (Forest Hill, Md./Calvert Hill College), who made two stops in the final 45 minutes.
