Box Score GRANTHAM, Pa. – Messiah College’s Corinne Wulf and Ali Rogers scored five goals as the No. 1 Falcons extended their NCAA record stretch of 64 games without a loss, beating the Lycoming College women’s soccer team, 10-0, on Wednesday night in Commonwealth Conference action. The Warriors fell to 7-5 overall and 0-3 in the Commonwealth Conference and the Falcons improved to 12-0 overall and 2-0 in the Commonwealth.
Wulf scored three times and Rogers added two strikes while Amanda Naeher, Alex Brandt, Leah Sipe, Jessica Shirk and Alicia Frey each tallied a goal.
Freshman #Caitlin Dougherty# (Douglasville, Pa./Daniel Boone) made five saves in 60 minutes and sophomore #Jennifer Basch# (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) made three saves in the last 30 minutes for the Warriors. Autumn Reilly posted a shutout in the net for the Falcons.
The Warriors return home for Homecoming this weekend, as Commonwealth Conference foe Alvernia will come to the Shangraw Athletic Complex for a 3 p.m. match. Before the match, each of Lycoming’s three seniors, Kaitlin Horn (Ringtown, Pa./North Schuylkill) and Kari and Kati Shaner (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) will be recognized in a short ceremony as part of Senior Day.
