Women's soccer blanks Albright 3-0 on Senior Day

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- With four seniors playing in their final home game for Lycoming College, the Lady Warriors shut out Albright College by a score of 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 24. Junior Kaitlin Horn had a hand in all three of Lycoming’s goals.
 
Lycoming is now 8-9-1 overall and 2-4 in the Commonwealth Conference. Albright slips to 7-8 on the season and 3-3 in the league.
 
The Lady Warriors caught the Albright defense napping, taking a quick throw to Horn, who then passed to freshman Leslie Kester (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) to end the first half with a goal at 44:09.
 
Horn (Ringtown, Pa./North Schuylkill) opened the scoring in the second half in the 61st minute after dribbling around two defenders and ripping a shot post the Albright goalkeeper. She scored the final home goal of the season at 67:26 after receiving a pass from sophomore Kelly Prendergast (Edison, N.J./Rutgers Preparatory).
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Chelsea Powers (Dover, Pa./Dover Area) made four stops to earn the shut out.
 
Lycoming will be on the road for its final game of the season. The Lady Warriors will face Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, Oct. 31, with kick off set for 1 p.m.
