Men's soccer plays Etown to a 0-0 draw

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- Both teams combined for 21 shots as Lycoming College and Elizabethtown College played to a 0-0 draw on a cold and windy Tuesday, Oct. 13. Senior Zach Frederick led the day with four shots.
 
Lycoming is now 10-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Commonwealth Conference while Elizabethtown, which is currently ranked 24th to d3soccer.com, is 12-1-1 on the season and 2-0-1 in the conference.
 
Senior goal keeper David Bald (Edgewater, Md./South River) weathered the storm, making four saves against 12 Blue Jay shots. Frederick (West Chester, Pa./St. Marks) put one of his four shots on goal and was the only Warrior to register multiple shots.
 
The Warriors dominated play in the first overtime period, taking the only two shots, one from Dan Marcin (Wilmington, Del./Concord) and a second from Kyle Welsh (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic).
 
Head coach Scott Kennell and Lycoming return to the field on Saturday, Oct. 17 when they play on the road at Alvernia University. Game time is set for 3:30 in Reading, Pa.
