Men's soccer falls 2-0 to Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa.
--- The Lycoming College men’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 conference game to Arcadia University on Saturday, Oct. 10. Freshman Jimmy Deasel was the only Warrior to take multiple shots.
 
The loss drops Lycoming to 10-4 on the season and 0-2 in the Commonwealth Conference. Arcadia improves to 9-4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
 
Lycoming got called for a handball in its defensive penalty box, allowing Arcadia to convert the penalty kick with 18 seconds left in the first half. In the second half, the Knights scored in the 55th minute.
 
Deasel (Kingsville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) took two shots, putting one on goal. Of Lycoming’s five shots, the Warriors placed four on the net. Senior goalkeeper David Bald (Edgewater, Md./South River) made five stops on the day, facing eight shots from Arcadia.
 
Lycoming returns to the pitch on Tuesday, Oct. 13 when it faces Commonwealth rival Elizabethtown College. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start time at the Robert L. Shangraw Athletic Complex.
