Williamsport, Pa. --- In an Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference match, the 30th ranked Lycoming Warriors fell to the seventh-ranked Ithaca College by a score of 30-9. The loss drops Lycoming to 12-7 on the year, while Ithaca improves to 11-1.
The lone winners for Lycoming were sophomore 184-pounder Kyle Crouthamel and senior Bryan Kopesky at 197 pounds.
Crouthamel was able to work through all three periods and pick up a 4-0 decision over Ithaca’s Tom Heckman. Crouthamel earned his three points with a take-down in the first period, followed by an escape in the third and one point for his 2:32 of riding time to give the Warriors three points.
Kospesky’s match did not complete after his opponent took a medical forfeit late in the second period to earn six points for the Warriors.
The Warriors will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Jamestown Community College for a junior varsity tournament.
