By setting a pair of school records in her final basketball game, senior Akilah McFadden has earned her seventh career Warrior of the Week award and her second of the season. In the MAC Commonwealth Championship first round, McFadden posted 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals, keeping the Warriors within a point of Stevenson until the final two minutes in a 64-55 loss. The three steals helped her finish her career with a school-record 240, surpassing the mark of 239 set by Kim Wood (1987-90) and by playing in the game, she surpassed the school-record of 103 games set by Erica Weaver '98. On Friday, she was named Honorable Mention All-MAC Commonwealth, the second all-conference accolades of her career. McFadden ranked second in the conference in assists (3.5) and steals (2.4) per game, 14th in scoring (12.0) and 20th in field goal percentage (.363). She is the only player in school history in the top 10 in points, assists, steals and blocks and the only player with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists in a career.
