ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lycoming College senior women’s lacrosse netminder Brittany Bryan has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference’s Goalie of the Week for April; 19. She was also named the College’s Warrior of the Week.
Bryan (Petersburg, N.J./Ocean City) helped the Lady Warriors keep their playoff hopes alive after going 2-0 last week, including a 17-14 comeback win on Saturday, April 17 against Alvernia University. Bryan made 30 saves on the week, making 15 stops in each game against the 63 shots she faced. In free position shots, she blanked her opponents, 0-16. The Lady Warriors defeated King’s College 16-2 on Wednesday, April 14.
Lycoming is on the road for its next game when it travels to Wilkes University for a Middle Atlantic Conference match up on Wednesday, April 21, beginning at 4 p.m.
Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week throughout the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
