WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Men’s basketball senior guard Eric Anthony has been named Lycoming College’s Warrior of the Week for Feb. 22.

 

Anthony guided the Warriors to a 2-1 week, averaging 18.3 points per game. At the free throw line, the Commonwealth Conference’s best shooter went 11-for-12 (91.6 percent). From beyond the arc, he was 10-for-20. He also tallied 10 steals and seven assists. 

 

Anthony scored 20 points in a 74-72 game at home Feb. 20 against Widener University, hitting the game-winner with 5.3 seconds left on the clock. In a 92-85 loss at Elizabethtown on Feb. 18, he tallied 13 points. He began the week by scoring 23 points at Messiah on Feb. 16. With a win against Widener, Lycoming sealed a No. 1 seed for the Commonwealth Conference tournament.

 

The Warriors host Elizabethtown on Wednesday, Feb. 24 for a conference semifinal game. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
