WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Lycoming College junior swimmer Stacy Flick has been named the Warrior of the Week for Dec. 7.

Flick (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) helped the Lady Warriors to a third-place finish at the Swarthmore Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5. Lycoming amassed 515 points, finishing behind Division I Drexel University with 879 points and Swarthmore with 572 points.

At the invitational, Flick broke two school records, while also earning a national "B" cut, which qualifies her for the NCAA Divsion III national meet. She broke her own record and earned the "B" cut in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:06.45, dropping nearly a second off her previous record of 1:07.28. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Flick finished in a time of 2:27.66, which broke Ruth Sykes' record of 2:28.55, set in 1997.

Lycoming returns to the pool Saturday, Dec. 12 as it travels to Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Messiah College. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.

Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week through the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
