Junior Brooke Strausser is the first women’s lacrosse player to earn the College’s Female Athlete of the Year award since Megan Wallenhorst won it in 2008. The midfielder has developed into one of the most talented players in the league, earning All-MAC honors as both a freshman and sophomore. This year, Strausser leads the team with 39 goals, 42 points, 36 groundballs, 44 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers. She is in the top 10 in the conference in goals (3.25, 6th), groundballs (3.00, 4th) and free-position goals (12th, 1.00). She is also just two points away from becoming the 12th player in school history to reach 100 in a career and four more groundballs from becoming the 21st player in school history to pick up 100.
