The Warriors' wildcat formation quarterback, sophomore Matt Atkinson had a gutsy performance on Saturday against ninth-ranked Delaware Valley, helping him earn his first Warrior of the Week award. The athletic wide receiver rushed for a game-high 90 yards on 11 carries, threw for 13 on a perfect 1-for-1 passing, and caught five passes for 35 yards. Atkinson was pivotal in a pair of fourth quarter Warrior rallies as he rushed four times for 25 yards, threw his pass and caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown in the final 15 minutes. He tied the game at 14 early in the quarter with a three-yard touchdown catch and he kickstarted another game-tying drive late in the quarter with a 10-yard reception and an 18-yard run to set up a score with 1:01 left in the 28-21 loss.
