Extending her hitting streak to seven games by drilling an extra-base hit in all four Lycoming softball games last week, senior Hailee Sobieski has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. Sobieski hit .429 with a 1.143 OPS to lead the Warriors to a 2-2 week, including a pair of Landmark Conference wins over Drew. She went 1-for-4 with a double and 2-for-3 with a double and RBI in a pair of games against Lebanon Valley on Monday and then went 1-for-3 with a double and a run in a 2-0 win and 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBI in a 6-5 win over Drew. Sobieski drove in a run with a first-inning double and then with two outs in the seventh, she drilled a single off the left-center field wall to tie the game and score Claire Alexander from first base. She advanced to second on a passed ball before being lifted for a pinch runner, who scored the winning run in the walkoff win.
Sobieski is third on the Warriors with a .426 average (23-of-54), leading the team with seven doubles and 12 RBI. She is also three hits from becoming the 19th player in school hsitory to reach 100 career hits.
