With a dominant performance in the circle in a nine-inning win in game one and a 2-for-4, two-RBI effort in game two, junior Avery Eiswerth has earned her third career Warrior of the Week award and second of the season. Eiswerth threw a nine-inning one-hitter against the Royals, posting a 1-0 win and striking out a career-high 10 as she retired the last 22 batters that she faced in the game. She was 1-1 with a 1.40 ERA, striking out 17 in 15 innings during the week.
She also hit .333 (4-of-12), posting a third-inning RBI triple in the second game against Scranton which tied the game at two before she added a fifth-inning RBI single that provided an insurance run in a 4-2 win.
Eiswerth leads the Warriors with a .393 batting average, 22 hits, four doubles and 13 runs and she is fourth in the Landmark Conference with a .732 slugging percentage, fifth with three triples and three homers and sixth with 17 RBI. Her 2.15 ERA is seventh in the league, five wins tied for sixth, 47 strikeouts is second and she leads the league with two saves.
