WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Sadie Stahl (Duboistown, Pa./South Williamsport Area) won her singles and doubles match to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team to a 5-2 win over Penn College on Friday afternoon, Sept. 12, at Brandon Park.
 
After the Warriors (1-1 overall) benefitted from a forfeit at No. 3 doubles, Stahl and senior partner Emma Kelchner (Nescopeck, Pa./Central Columbia) downed Lauren Peck and Leah Vest, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles to clinch the doubles point, winning the last three games of the match.
 
In singles play, Stahl made quick work of Vest, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles to give the team a 3-0 lead after a forfeit at No. 6 singles. Sophomore Yeanneth Rosado (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) clinched the win with a 6-3, 6-3, win over Eliza Welshans at No. 5 and senior Greta Kimble (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) added a 7-6 (3), 7-5 win over Faith Murray at No. 3 singles.
 
The Wildcats fell to 0-1.
 
The Warriors are back on the court on Friday, Sept. 19, when they host Penn State-Altoona at 3:30 p.m. at Brandon Park.
