MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – For the first time since 2006, the Lycoming College wrestling team competed at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday, Jan. 25, sending a contingent of five grapplers to the meet at Messiah College's Hitchcock Arena.
 
Three of the Warriors' five wrestlers posted wins at the tournament, with sophomore Tommy Flynn (Upper Darby, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) pinning Kevin Aspril of Elizabethtown at the 2:03 mark in his first consolation match at 141 pounds.
 
At 149 pounds, freshman Walter Fox (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) posted a 6-5 win over teammate sophomore Christian Felstedt (Brielle, N.J./Manasquan). Felstedt won his first consolation match, 6-0, over Elizabethtown's Chris Pauzer.
 
The meet, attended by Messiah, Delaware Valley, Elizabethtown, Wilkes, King's and Lycoming, was added back to the conference calendar in 2014 after the sport was discontinued by the conference in 2006.

The Warriors get back on the mat on Sunday, Feb. 2, when they head to King's (Pa.) for a 2 p.m. dual meet.
