th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to cap its run at the 2014 Budd Whitehill National Duals on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Lamade Gymnasium. The Warriors started the day with a 25-14 loss to 14
th-ranked Johnson & Wales.

Freshman
Seth Lansberry (Klingerstown, Pa./Line Mountain) posted a perfect 4-0 record during the weekend to lead the Warriors (7-6 overall), as he notched a technical fall and a decision in Saturday's matches, improving to 21-6 on the season.

Messiah won its first team title at the duals, while Cortland finished second, as the Falcons posted a 21-15 win in the finals. Olivet finished third, posting a 22-13 win over Ithaca in the third-place match.

The Warriors took the lead against the Pointers in the 174-pound match, as senior
Johnathan Secor (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) posted a 4-2 win over Dylan Diebitz to make it 12-10 before senior
Greg Wetzel (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Arlington) extended the lead with a 6-2 win over Andy Borchadt. Stevens Point fought back with a major decision at 197 pounds to make it 15-14 heading into the last match, where Bloom posted the third-period pin.

The Warriors kicked off the match with a win, as sophomore
Jake Witmer (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) notched a 5-2 win over Joe Smith. In the 141-pound bout, as junior
Caleb Willey (Towanda, Pa./Towanda) notched an 8-2 decision against Lance Fabry before Lansberry posted a 6-2 win over John Roycraft at 149.

In the first bout of the day, Johnson & Wales scored 15 points in the final three bouts to post the come-from-behind 25-14 win.

Witmer kicked off the match with a 5-2 lead and Lansberry helped the Warriors take an 8-7 lead with a 15-0 technical fall win over Gideon Yim. After a decision at 157 pounds gave the Wildcats a 10-8 lead, the Warriors won the next two bouts to take a 14-10 lead thanks to a 5-3 decision by freshman
Nolan Barger (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) at 165 pounds and a 10-3 win by Secor over Dae'Sean Brown at 174.

However, the Wildcats got a pin at 184 from 10
th-ranked Colin Lenhardt to take the lead back and a Wildcat decision and a pin closed out the meet.

The Warriors get back on the mat on Saturday, Jan. 18, when they head to they host the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championships at Lamade Gym. The eight-team, three-mat tournament is set to begin at 10 a.m.
